I know I’m not a conventional beauty. You can read a lot of painful things on the Internet, which criticise you aesthetically but as far as I’m concerned, that’s not what an actress is.

I know people think that acting is not quite the occupation of grown-ups, but it is actually the ultimate learning process: You get a multitude of experiences, all for the price of one life.

In Britain, they teach a yoga lesson every day when you’re in drama school. It’s mandatory if you’re doing classical training. The idea is to break things down physically as well as emotionally. There will always be a yoga mat in my luggage, period. Running is my second source of exercise. For me, it’s more of a mental exercise. It’s also a good way of discovering a new city. I hope to run the New York City Marathon in November. x
